Pulpit Ministry

Alan preached his first sermon at age fifteen at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Elmore, Al. on Youth Sunday.  By age eighteen he knew that God was calling him into the gospel ministry.  It was shortly after that that Mt. Hebron found itself without a pastor and Alan, along with another young preacher in the church were asked to share the pulpit responsibilities while the church searched for its next pastor.  It was then off to Samford University to begin preparation for ministry and while there, just a few months after his twentieth birthday Alan became pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Westover, Al.  There would be more education and other churches along the way, but the thing that never changed was Alan’s passion for the Word of God which was coupled with a veracious appetite for study and learning, and a God given and anointed style of sermon delivery that continues to blessed.

Alan continues to preach revivals, Bible conferences, special events and other pulpit responsibilities as the need arises.
